EUPHORIA DANCE TERMS & CONDITIONS POLICY
1. PAYMENT POLICY
We request payment in advance on a termly basis, no refunds are given for days when a student is not in attendance unless in exceptional circumstances.
Late payment: should fees not be given in by the stated date on each term letter, the child will not have a guaranteed place in their class.
Cancellation of classes: if classes are cancelled due to the fault of the company the time will be made up with extra classes or fees will be credited to next terms fees.
We will not be financially liable for classes or dates cancelled due to events beyond our reasonable control. Refunds/credited lessons will not be given under these circumstances.
**EXCEPTIONAL CIRUCUMSTANCES/CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL**
In the event that the government declares a “State of emergency situation” resulting in:
-world disaster
-civil unrest
-armed conflict
-global pandemic resulting in severe illness or loss of life
The above policy applies “Refunds/credited lessons will not be given under these circumstances”.
We retain the right to change the advertised programme of classes in the event of illness or other circumstances beyond our control.
Euphoria dance reserves the right to change fees however we will endeavour to inform parents and carers of any changes as soon as possible.
Exam days: Entry for examinations are only secured once full payment has been made. Exam entries are non-refundable.
2.) DRESS CODE
All students that attend any evening classes are required to follow an “all-black” dress code at Euphoria Dance. We also have a range of ED clothing available in our online shop which you may purchase from at any time. After school club classes are exempt from this requirement. Evening class pupils must have their hair tied back at all times during class.
3.) BEHAVIOUR POLICY
During classes, events, performances and exam days, students are expected to behave in a polite and professional manner. They are expected to listen and show a level of respect to their teachers at all times.
Any unacceptable behaviour from students and/or parents/carers will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behaviour by pupils may result in exclusion from the school. Parents or family members may be banned from premises, events and/or performances.
4.) ANTI-BULLYING POLICY
Euphoria dance recognise that every child has the right to enjoy a life free from bullying; therefore we will always take any allegations of bullying seriously and are committed to deal with it effectively. We will always endeavour to work closely with parents and students to prevent it from happening.
5.) HEALTH & SAFETY
Euphoria dance take their responsibility seriously to ensure the health and safety of all students, teachers and volunteer’s and takes appropriate measures to make sure the environment is safe for all. The school will undertake regular risk assessments regarding premises hired and any concerns will be raised with the providers.
Dance is an active engagement as is any sport, and whilst every effort is made to avoid them, injuries can happen. The school accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained via any means other than a teachers negligence.
6.) APPROPRIATE PHYSICAL CONTACT POLICY
Teaching dance is a physical activity and appropriate physical contact between students and teachers in class is essential to training. Euphoria Dance recognise that such physical contact is a potentially complex area, and the company also fully recognises its responsibilities to safeguarding students and teachers and for protecting their welfare.
The following principles and procedures are in place to fulfil the company’s obligations:
a.) Contact with the teacher is made with a particular awareness of the needs of an individual to assist the dancer in correcting placement.
b.) All teachers will treat any physical contact with due sensitivity and care and with due regard for the wishes of the student.
c.) Contact will not involve force of the use of any instrument.
d.) Teachers will be mindful of location and avoid situation where they are isolated from the student.
7.) MEDIA RIGHTS USE PERMISSION
We ask parents and guardians to grant permission for euphoria dance to take photographs and videos of the students. No personal information is ever used or linked to the photographs. We ask for all full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/filming and any reproductions or adaptations for the use of advertisement.
8) SAFEGUARDING
Our prime responsibility is the welfare and wellbeing of all the children in our care. As such, we believe that we have a duty to the children, parents, carers and staff to act quickly and responsibility if any incidents come to our attention. All staff and volunteers are employed on a self-employed basis and are enhanced DBS checked, sports first aid and safeguarding trained. Should a visitor not have full DBS clearance, they will not be left alone with minors.
Euphoria dance will not disclose your contact information to third parties except where the law allows or requires or where you have been given permission to do so.
You may from time to time contact you individually about other carefully selected euphoria dance services which we think may be of interest to you.
Euphoria dance reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time for the benefit of the business, staff or participants.
